Reading and writing are educational staples, but students at Aldo Leopold Community School on Green Bay's east side also have plenty of hands-on learning opportunities.
Fourth- and fifth-grade instructor Hilarie Rath organized a lesson for about 85 students, between second and fifth grades, to write letters to soldiers stationed overseas.
