United Way exceeds campaign goal

Fundraising total for 2012 effort reaches $923,458

The Marshfield Area United Way 2012 campaign met and exceeded its annual fundraising goal. It raised $923,458 to fund local programs in 2014 to serve people in need of assistance.

"Once again, the people of Marshfield have stepped up to help their neighbors," said Amy Nystrom, who co-chaired the 2012 Campaign with her husband, Al Nystrom.

The money raised was announced during an event Thursday evening to wrap up the campaign and honor businesses and community members who contributed to its success. The United Way Thank You Celebration was held at the Marshfield Elks Club. ...
