The Adams County Historical Society invites the public to attend an interesting and informative program on Civil War Quilts of Wisconsin.

Join Allison Rainboth from Sisters Choice Quilting Service of Berlin, Wis., as she shares stories of Civil War quilts made by Wisconsin groups and families between 1861 and 1865. There will be quilts on display and pieces of quilts will be available to touch and feel as Rainboth shares how quilts were made and what quilting materials were available to ladies of the Civil War era.

The program will be at 2 p.m. Feb. 16 at the Heritage Center. Following the hour-long program, Rainboth has offered to appraise up to 10 quilts of any time period. If you have a quilt you would like to have appraised free of charge, bring it along to share with the audience. Because of limited space, those interested in attending, should register by calling the Heritage Center at 608-339-7733. The Heritage Center is at 311 Main St., Friendship.
