Baseball

Players Choice of the Fox Cities is accepting registration for its spring indoor baseball league starting in March. There are leagues for ages 8U, 10U, 12U and 14U. The cost is $57.75 per player. Former major league pitcher David Gassner and XLR8 Sports Training will be hosting a five-week pitching and training clinic starting Monday, Feb. 11. The sessions are in small groups for one hour, twice a week. Mondays will be pitching instruction with Gassner starting at 5, 6 and 7 p.m. The second day of training is the athlete's choice of Wednesday, Thursday or Friday after school and later or Saturday mornings. The second day of training is with the staff of XLR8 Sports Training. The cost is $250. Call 920-735-9578 to reserve a training time or for more information.

Basketball

The 32nd annual St. John Men's Tournament will be held March 1-3 and 8-10 in Menasha. The tournament is limited to the first 16 teams to return rosters and entry fees. The team entry fee is $125. The losers of the first-round games will move to the "B" division and winners will go to the "A" division. Plaques and awards will be given to the top three teams in both divisions. Players Choice of the Fox Cities will hold a men's spring basketball league on Wednesday evenings, starting Feb. 20. The team fee is $378. Teams are guaranteed eight games. Softball

Players Choice of the Fox Cities will be holding a 13U indoor softball league that will run on Monday evenings from March 11 to April 15. Teams or individual players can sign up. Players cannot be older than 13 by the start of the league. The cost is $42 per player. For more information, contact Scott Beyer at scottb@pcfoxcities.com or 920-560-5884.

The Appleton East Girls Softball Camp will be held Saturday, March 16. Session I will be from 9 a.m. to noon for grades 5-8. Session II will be from noon to 4 p.m. for grades 1-4. A free pitching session will be held from noon to 1 p.m. for grades 1-8. All sessions will be held at Appleton East High School. The camp is open to any girls in grades 1-8. The cost for each session is $25 and campers receive a T-shirt. Registration forms can be picked up in the East main office.
