Traffic on U.S. Highway 41 was blocked for about an hour Thursday night while authorities handled a multi-vehicle crash near Witzel Avenue in Oshkosh.

The Winnebago County Sheriff's Office was dispatched to a report of a multi-vehicle crash in the southbound lanes of Highway 41 at 9:32 p.m., Winnebago County Sheriff's Lt. Gordon Ledioyt said.

Upon arriving, deputies determined the crash was actually two separate crashes. A semitractor and another vehicle were initially involved in a crash that blocked traffic. Other vehicles then collided with those vehicles, Ledioyt said.

There were no injuries.

There was intermittent road blockage in the southbound lanes of Highway 41 for about an hour while authorities investigated and cleaned up the crash. One lane was continuously closed while both lanes were periodically closed to remove wreckage, Ledioyt said.

The Wisconsin State Patrol assisted the sheriff's office.
