Letter: Why Catholic schools are important to me

Why Catholic schools are important

I think that Catholic Schools are so important because here at St. Vincent de Paul School we learn responsibility and how to treat all of our fellow classmates with respect. Our teachers work hard to stop one student from bullying one and another. We have a program that we are all working on called "Speak Your Peace." We have nine rules that we follow to remind us to do the right thing.

I like all the fun activities that we do here. They include field trips, math rewards, sports games, hands-on-projects in social studies and science class, and using our NEO's to help us with math and keyboarding.

I get to learn about Jesus and the good example he set in life for us. Now, I try to do what he would do.

I like to learn more so I can be smarter and have a better future. I want to be a good caring person who others like and respect.

Editor's note: Local students submitted letters in celebration of Catholic Schools Week. More letters were printed in the Daily Tribune this week, and all the students' letters are posted online at www.wisconsinrapidstribune.com.
