Teen composer makes return appearance in national concert

Appleton resident Isaac Quinones was 4 years old when he began playing piano and wrote his first piece, "Winter is Coming with Soft Snow."

"That was my creative brain at 4," said Isaac, 14, who is home-schooled. "I have pretty much been writing a composition every year since."

That's 10 compositions in as many years, and all of them have been submitted to the Yamaha Music Education System's Junior Original Concert (JOC), a national concert and competition for students ages 6 to 16. ...
