A 42-year-old Niagara man died in a one-vehicle crash at about 1:14 a.m. Sunday.

The man was heading east on Marinette County N near Marinette County O in the town of Niagra when the pickup he was driving left the road, rolled over several times and hit a power pole, according to the Marinette County Sheriff's Department.

The man was ejected from the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene by Marinette County coroner George Smith. The driver was the only person in the truck.

Authorities are withholding the name of the man until they can notify family members. Speed and alcohol are believed to be factors in the crash, authorities said.

The crash is under investigation. It is the first Marinette County traffic fatality of the year.
