No Super Bowl, just a lot of soup, for us Cheeseheads

Super Bowl Sunday has arrived at last. I was hopeful of spending this weekend in New Orleans, but my team isn't one of the participants in the Harbowl.

There are, however, some faith-related "Souper Bowl" events taking place in our area.

St. Paul's United Church of Christ, 1250 Leonard Point Road, is sponsoring a soup sale after a one-year hiatus from the Super Sunday project. People pre-ordered homemade chicken noodle soup or chili, for $7 a quart, to help the church raise money for Oshkosh's Day by Day Warming Shelter. Soup can be picked up today. ...
