Police are trying to determine whether a man awaiting trial for a murder and sexual assault in Oklahoma is responsible for a double homicide in rural Weyauwega that has vexed detectives for more than 20 years.

DNA analysts at the State Crime Lab have linked Glendon C. Gouker, formerly of Iola, to a rape that happened in 1990 in Iola. Gouker, who is being extradited to Wisconsin, is expected to make an initial court appearance Thursday in Waupaca County Court on a charge of first-degree sexual assault.

Waupaca County Sheriff Brad Hardel called the DNA match "huge." ...
