A volunteer-led program that helps inmates released from jail is expanding its services with a new mentoring program to assist former inmates as they transition back into their communities.

In November 2010, Open Door, 319 Fourth St., Wausau, began offering hot coffee and clothing to inmates released from jail in the same building that will house Wausau's new Community Warming Center.
