Farmshed to host Local Food Fair

Central Rivers Farmshed will hold the 2013 Local Food Fair from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Thursday at Stevens Point Area Senior High. The event aims to increase awareness of and interest in the importance of local foods in our communities.

The schedule includes a local organic potato and dessert bar from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.; an information fair and marketplace and 2013 Farm Fresh Atlas premiere from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.; mini workshops from 6:30 p.m. to 7:15 p.m.; green travel raffle announcement at 7:25 p.m.; and a growing collective information session from 7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
