Each year, the Wisconsin Council of the Blind & Visually Impaired allocates funds to provide nine $1,500 scholarships for full- and part-time blind or visually impaired post-secondary students enrolled and accepted in college and vocational/community school programs.

Applicants must be high school graduates or returning students, carrying a full load of classes as defined by the institution they will attend, and have an accumulated GPA of at least 2.5. Part-time students must verify their courses and schedules. Applicants must have identified goals for the future, including eventual employment, and they must meet other scholarship requirements.

Scholarship applications and additional information are at www.wcblind.org. The deadline to submit materials is April 8. Scholarship recipients will be notified by May 15, and scholarships will be presented at the Council's scholarships and awards event on July 20.
