With the New Year, comes new restaurants. Festival Foods' Taste of Fond du Lac is excited to welcome aboard three new restaurants to the already impressive line-up. Three Guys and a Grill; Fat Joes Bar & Grill; and TJ's Harbor Restaurant will be showing guests why the new kid is always fun.
? Three Guys and a Grill; and Three Guys and a Pizza Pie, located at N8350 Cty J, Elkhart Lake, will be showcasing their off-the-grill favorites including: Beef Tenderloin with Burgundy Beef sauce; Grilled Teriyaki Shrimp skewers; and Tortellini Pasta in a Marsala crème sauce. Simply put, you're going to wish you could pull your grill out of the snowbank it now calls home.
"Three Guys restaurants from Elkhart Lake can't wait for the Taste of Fond du Lac," said Scott McMurray, owner of Three Guys and a Pizza Pie and Three Guys and a Grill. "We have a lot of great customers in Fond du Lac and want to meet some more. From charcoal grilling to homemade Italian cuisine, we have a taste for everyone."
? Not only one of the best night time hot spots in Fond du Lac, Fat Joe's Bar & Grill can really turn up the flavor on their dishes. Located at 15 W. Division St., Fat Joe's will be bringing over White Chicken Chili; BBQ Pulled Pork sliders on Fat Joe's Signature Pretzel Buns; Certified Angus Beef Sliders; and their homemade cheesecake with an array of toppings.
"Fat Joe's is very new, contemporary and upcoming with a casual Fond du Lac feel," said Tad Wallendar, owner of Fat Joe's Bar & Grill. "We have a term in our kitchen that we at 'Fat Joe's' up our food -- meaning we add a unique and different twist to our food."
? Another newcomer to the event and to the area, TJ's Harbor Restaurant, located at 7098 US Hwy. 45, will be blowing your mind with some of their menu items. Bring along some smelling salts to bring yourself out of a food coma from these dishes. Enjoy Seafood Gumbo; Chicken Pesto Pasta; and BBQ Pork sandwiches and leave room for seconds.
"TJ's Harbor Restaurant is excited to be participating in the Taste of Fond du Lac," said Kristin Treichel, general manager at TJ's Harbor Restaurant. "We are a waterfront dining destination on Lake Winnebago and offer a healthy rotisserie inspired menu with made-from-scratch dishes."
Festival Foods' Taste of Fond du Lac will take place on Sunday, Feb. 24, at the Fond du Lac Fairgrounds Expo Building from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. The afternoon will feature delicious food samplings from more than 25 area restaurants, a silent auction and live music entertainment. New for 2013, enjoy a food demonstration from MPTC and the artistic mastery of a cheese carver.
Advance tickets are $1.50 each at Festival Foods locations in Fond du Lac, Oshkosh and Sheboygan, Wegner's Office Supply, and the Fond du Lac Area Convention and Visitors Bureau.
