Birder Hall dedication Feb. 14

St. Norbert College in De Pere will dedicate Dudley Birder Hall on Thursday, Feb. 14.

The college renovated the old St. Boniface church at the corner of Grant and Fourth streets into the hall that will be used as performance space. The building's namesake has been part of St. Norbert's music faculty since 1958.

The culmination of the dedication festivities given by the college Feb. 14 will be a concert open to the public that will start at 7:30 p.m. at Walter Theatre on campus.

YWCA Dance for a Cure

YWCA Green Bay-De Pere will hold the Dance for a Cure 2013 fundraiser from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 9, at its downtown Green Bay facility (230 S. Madison St.).

Proceeds from the event, which is $8 per person, will benefit the Wisconsin chapter of the MS Society. It will include Zumba classes, refreshments, raffle drawings, a Zumba wear sale and chair massages.

Valentine Run/Walk on Saturday morning

Midwest Sports Events of De Pere will hold the Seroogy's Valentine Run/Walk in downtown De Pere on Saturday, Feb. 9.

The event will include 5- and 15-kilometer courses. Both races will start at 8 a.m. at Seroogy's Chocolates, 144 N. Wisconsin St.

Registration is being taken online at www.midwestsportsevents.com and www.active.com or by calling (800) 429-8044.

Advance registration costs are $26 for adults and children 13 and older and $15 for children 12 and younger until 6 p.m. Friday. Registration costs on the day of the event will be $35 for adults and children 13 and older and $17 for children 12 and younger.

Those who drop off their registration form at Seroogy's by store close at 9 p.m. today will receive $3 off the registration fee. There also is a $1 discount for registering a group of four or more.
