Guest commentary: Citizens deserve complete pool costs

As you may have read in last week's Reporter, Oconto City Council members have continued to question nearly all aspects of the proposed repair and reopening of our municipal pool. You may also have noticed that I was the sole vote against the latest proposal that stipulates a repair bill not to exceed $50,000.

My purpose here is to let you know my thinking regarding this latest development and why I could not, in good conscience vote in favor of that proposal. My voting record regarding the pool has always been in favor of keeping it up and running. However, there was no way that I could support that ...
