WinterFest to bring 'great energy' back to downtown for second year

Free ice skating, snow sculptures and warm chili are just a few of the WinterFest perks that will draw thousands of people to Wausau's downtown Saturday for a daylong festival.

With 30-degree temperatures predicted for Saturday, event organizers expect this year's turnout to top the festival's inaugural year in 2012 when roughly 2,000 people showed up.
