The National Weather Service in Green Bay has issued a winter
weather advisory for snow and freezing drizzle. The advisory begins at 4 p.m. today and goes through 6 p.m. Thursday.

Snow will overspread the area this afternoon and taper off to light snow and freezing drizzle after midnight, according to the advisory. A snow accumulation of 3 to 4 inches is expected by Thursday morning.

The snow could lead to slippery roadways and hazardous travel conditions, making afternoon commutes treacherous.

The freezing drizzle and light snow will change back to heavier snow Thursday afternoon, mwith another inch or two of accumulation possible at that time, according to the weather service.
