On March 2, 2012, in southern Indiana, an F3 tornado and an F4 tornado traveled 49 miles in 49 minutes on separate paths and crossed in the small town of Henryville, population 1,905.

Shortly after that, large hail damaged what wasn't already damaged by the tornadoes, and two days later, snow covered everything.

It happened shortly after 3 p.m. when the local school let out, and children were boarding their buses. Amazingly the children there survived - but overall, 13 people were killed in southern Indiana - 40 total including other states. ...
