Jeff Gibson, director of technology for the Green Bay School District, is retiring. His last day on the job is Feb. 15.

Some of his duties include planning, implementation and maintenance of both of technology and the infrastructure needed to support it.

Most recently, he helped launch a one-to-one computer program, in which sixth- and ninth-graders received individual netbooks, or small laptop computers. He also helped managed major upgrades throughout the district after voters approved a referendum, in part, to spend $5.7 million for technology upgrades in 2010. Implementation of new technology took several years.

Gibson has been with the district since 2006. The district has not begun searching for a replacement.
