Fire scare evacuates Heresite employees

About 20 employees were evacuated from Heresite Protective Coatings, 822 S. 14th St., at 7:15 a.m. Wednesday due to a liquid dip tank fire, said Battalion Chief Tim Herzog of the Manitowoc Fire Department in a news release.

Two people were taken by ambulance for treatment and evaluation of non-life threatening injuries. No other information was available on their status.

Plant personnel directed firefighters to a 7,500-gallon liquid tank of protective coating material ...
