Saturday mail delivery to stop come August

Package delivery will continue as Postal Service 'adjusts'

The U.S. Postal Service announced Wednesday no more Saturday mail delivery beginning in August.

"I'd still like to get mail Monday through Friday but if I don't get any on Saturdays, it's not a big deal to me," said Karen Vogel, one of several customers at the Franklin Street post office expressing the same sentiment.

"They should have cut off Saturday delivery years ago," said Anthony Boldt, as he picked up mail from Oil-Rite's post office box. Mail will still be delivered to P.O. boxes on Saturdays. ...
