Sports Brian compete in:

Football and Wrestling

All-time team sports achievement:

"Three-time conference champions in wrestling."

All-time individual achievement:

"Reaching 100 career wins and breaking the school's career pin record."

No. 1 athletic goal:

"Place at State in wrestling."

Brian's thoughts:

"I think my season is going good for me I believe I really think I have a very good chance at placing at State. The team has been doing very good this year. This is the year that we know have a very good chance at making it to team State and taking it. The team and I are looking to accomplish getting and taking team State and also sending as many individuals to State as we can."

Coach Paul Gehrke's thoughts:

"Brian is a guy coaches love to have on the team. He has a great attitude that infects the team and likes to joke around, but he also know when to be serious. Brian doesn't complain when we give him the tough match-ups, he's a very hard worker, a good teammate, and goes after it in every single match. This season Brian has had both ups and downs. He has beaten last years Division 3 State runner-up 8-0 along with some impressive victories over some ranked opponents, but also lost some real close matches. Winning those close matches will be key for him achieving his goals. Brian also brings a certain toughness to our team and he has been a real pleasure to coach over the years. When Brian's career is done he will likely be second in school history in career wins, he only needs six more, and first in career pins, only needs two. Brian also volunteers his time to help coach the youth wrestlers."
