The Highground's volunteer appreciation potluck was held Jan. 19 at the Loyal American Legion.

About 70 volunteers and guests attended to take part in an afternoon of food, entertainment and fellowship. The invocation was provided by the Rev. Al Houts, and the entertainment of "Elvis & Patsy" (Garry and Elaine Wesley) was enjoyed by all. In keeping with The Highground's promise to remember those killed in Iraq and Afghanistan, the Rev. Doug Bjerke and Sharon Bjerke read the names.
