Literacy tutor training classes scheduled for February

Volunteers can make a difference in the greater Oshkosh community by serving as tutors with the Winnebago County Literacy Council in 2013.

While adult illiteracy tends to be an invisible problem, an estimated 20,000 county residents can't read past the fourth-grade level. More than 13,000 adults in the county do not have their high school diploma or GED.

Adult tutor training is geared for those interested in sharing their talents with individuals who want to learn how to read, write or do math better. ...
