The legacy of excellence continues at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point, with the following being recognized for achievement:

? Senior art major Ellen Larson of Wisconsin Rapids is one of 13 students in the nation to be named a Language Intensive Focus Track, or LIFT, scholar. The inaugural honor provides a minimum of $5,000 to fund her CIEE Study Abroad program in Beijing, China. Larson hopes to become an art historian and curator of contemporary Chinese art.
