De Pere prepares for new 4K program

School officials expect about 200 students for 2013-14 school year

The De Pere School District is setting up its new 4-year-old kindergarten program, including partnering with local child care centers to provide services.

The School Board approved 4K last month, and administrators are preparing to launch the program in 2013-14. Officials expect about 200 students to participate the first year, and plan to set up 10 sections of the preschool program.
