With two week until the Festival Foods' Taste of Fond du Lac, local chefs are polishing their whisks in preparation. Mancino's Pizza & Grinders, Parrot Palms Tiki Bar & Grille and 680 North Restaurant at Tuscumbia Country Club are just three of the more than 25 area restaurants gearing up to rattle your taste buds.
? Mancino's Pizza & Grinders, 818 S. Main St., will be back at this year's event serving up their specialty grinders. Known for their homemade crusts and fresh ingredients, Mancino's adds a unique dining experience for the young and old with a toy train that circles the dining room. At Festival Foods' Taste of Fond du Lac, Mancino's will be showcasing award winning items like the Mancino's Club, a Taco Grinder, BBQ Pulled Pork and a Cuban Grinder.

? Parrot Palms Tiki Bar & Grille, 248 N. Hickory St., is an island oasis in the city of Fond du Lac. This year, Parrot Palms has added an outdoor patio complete with surfboard style tables and a variety of outdoor games to please, including outdoor pool tables in the winter. Guests at the Taste of Fond du Lac will be able to enjoy Parrot Balls and Coconut Walnut Brownies.
"We at Parrot Palms are very excited to share our menu items and introduce Fond du Lac to Parrot Palms," said Carol Boyd, owner of Parrot Palms Tiki Bar & Grille. "We have been experimenting with many new items and are anxious to receive Fond du Lac's feedback. Our menu items at the event will complete the feeling of being on vacation in the tropics."
? 680 North Restaurant at Tuscumbia Country Club, located at 680 N. Illinois Ave., Green Lake, is new to the Taste of Fond du Lac. They will be showcasing some of their best dishes. Voted one of Wisconsin's Best Restaurants by Bon Appetit magazine, 680 North Restaurant is known for 4-star food and a distinct ambience. Serving breakfast, lunch and dinner, 680 North offers a north woods dining experience in a relaxing rustic cabin environment. 680 North will be showcasing their Smoked Pork Loin with a Bourbon Maple Glaze and Chocolate Truffles at the event.
"680 North Restaurant at Tuscumbia Country Club is enthused to be a part of The Taste of Fond du Lac again this year," said Anna Schneider, director of special events at 680 North Restaurant at Tuscumbia Country Club. "We look forward to letting the guests get to know the people and menu items at Wisconsin's oldest golf course."
Festival Foods' Taste of Fond du Lac will take place on Sunday, Feb. 24 at the Fond du Lac Fairgrounds Expo Building from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. The afternoon will feature delicious food samplings from more than 25 area restaurants, a silent auction and live music entertainment.
