Biology of the Florida Keys summer course back by popular demand; Tuesday meeting

Parents and students are invited to attend an information session at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 12, in Room 210, of the Art Building at UW-Fond du Lac to learn more about the three-credit Biology of the Florida Keys (BIO 298) course to be offered again this summer.

The Biology of the Florida Keys course includes travel to Marine Lab in Key Largo, Fla., for seven days of snorkeling, field trips, lab activities, fieldwork and discussions. The course will introduce students to the life that inhabits the marine ecosystems of the Florida Keys. It is offered in two sessions. The July 17-23 session is open to high school juniors and seniors and the Aug. 7-13 session is open to college students.

The course fee is $1,798, which includes all travel, airfare, lodging, most meals, tuition and fees. A $400 deposit is due at time of application.
