UWGB men's basketball: Turnovers holding Phoenix back in conference play

If the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay men's basketball team falls short of expectations this season, it might end up being because of its turnover problem.

It has cost the Phoenix several games this season, including Thursday's 70-68 double-overtime loss to Wright State when it committed 24 turnovers. Four of those giveaways came in the second overtime period.

In eight of its 11 conference games, UWGB (12-12 overall, 6-5 Horizon League) has committed at least 16 turnovers, well above coach Brian Wardle's goal of 12 or fewer turnovers per game. Included in that stretch was a 17-turnover ...
