Prep hockey: Detroit Catholic knocks off Tritons

TRENTON, MICH. - The Green Bay Notre Dame boys hockey team lost its first game of the season, falling 6-3 to Detroit Catholic Central at the Michigan Interscholastic Hockey League Showcase on Friday.

The Tritons, who are the top-ranked team in Wisconsin, gave up three first-period goals against Michigan's third-ranked squad before cutting the deficit to 3-2 with a power-play goal by Steven Phillips 24 seconds into the third period.

Riley Christensen scored Notre Dame's first goal with the man advantage in the second period and netted another goal late in the third off an assist from Luke ...
