Judge sends message with lengthy prison term in drug overdose death

A Winnebago County judge used the sentencing of an Oshkosh man who sold drugs to a man who later died of an overdose to send a message that he has no tolerance for drug dealing.

Winnebago County Judge Thomas Gritton said drug dealers, who prey upon addicts' need for their next fix, need to be prepared to accept responsibility for the results of their decision to sell drugs.

"I am tired of reading about young people dying because of heroin overdoses," Gritton said. "You are responsible for that." ...
