When Ossie disappeared last spring, Dan Ott of Marshfield wasn't sure he ever would see his dog again.

Ossie was 10 years old, and sometimes older dogs will go off by themselves to quietly pass away. Regardless of the probability, Ott hung up fliers throughout his neighborhood, just in case.

Eight months later, on a cold January day, a chocolate lab stray was found wandering the streets of Marshfield.
