Keifer Sykes came alive when his team needed him most.

The sophomore point guard for the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay men's basketball team converted back-to-back 3-point plays midway through the second half to highlight a 10-0 run that helped the Phoenix beat Detroit 68-59 on Saturday afternoon at the Resch Center.

Sykes played only 11 minutes in the first half after picking up two early fouls and scored just three points. That gave him some time to rest on the bench after playing 45 minutes in a 70-68, double-overtime loss to Wright State on Thursday night. Sykes was re-energized in the ...
