Prep hockey: Notre Dame rallies to tie, falls in shootout

TRENTON, Mich. - Green Bay Notre Dame played to a 3-3 tie with Cranbrook, Michigan's top-ranked team, before losing in a shootout on Saturday at the Michigan Interscholastic Hockey League Showcase.

Notre Dame, Wisconsin's top-ranked team, fell behind 3-0 in the first period before rallying. Riley Christensen scored in the second period, then Mason Appleton (power play) and Steven Phillips scored in the third period.

The Tritons (21-1-1) were outscored 2-0 in the shootout. ...
