Being regulated to staying home and off his feet was not where Isaiah Hayes wanted to be.

But that's where the De Pere senior wrestler found himself three weeks before regionals after having arthroscopic surgery to repair a partial meniscus tear in his right knee.

The setback, however, didn't stop Hayes from winning his second straight regional title and becoming a four-time sectional qualifier, as he picked up a pair of pins to win the 220-pound title at the WIAA Division 1 Preble regional on Saturday. ...
