The sight of snowflakes, the sound of skates scraping across the ice and the smell of chili and hot chocolate were among the sensory delights that combined to turn Wausau into a winter wonderland Saturday.

Hundreds of people wandered through downtown Wausau during the day for the city's second annual WinterFest, organized by Wausau Area Events.
