STEVENS POINT - Coach Ann Ninnemann was hoping her University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point women's hockey team could enjoy a little home cooking in the playoffs for once.

Instead, UW-Superior all but ensured the Pointers will be hitting the road when the Northern Collegiate Hockey Association postseason starts in a couple weeks.

Superior broke open a tie game with three unanswered goals to hand the Pointers a 5-2 setback and complete a sweep of the NCHA series at Ice Hawks Arena that for all intent and purposes would decide the fourth and final spot for home ice. ...
