Café Nutrition opened at 7 a.m. today in the Town of Menasha. It’s at 1350 W. American Drive, in the former Snap Fitness space that shares a building with Subway and Edward Jones.

The shop is both a café and a retail shop selling supplements and vitamins.

“We’ve had a number of locals come in who’ve been waiting for us to open,” said Kerrianne Trickey, manager.

The first customers ordered coffee, lattes and bakery items like scones. Trickey is now warming up the Panini press to make Cubans and other specialty sandwiches.

Trickey said this week is a soft opening with hours that run 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. In the coming weeks, the café will start earlier, at 5:30 a.m.

Menu boards go up later this week, and the drive-thru will be opened in a few days. A website is still in development, but the shop’s Facebook page is operating at facebook.com/cafenutrition.
