Despite the rain and wind, spearers harvested 21 sturgeon from Upriver Lakes and nine from Lake Winnebago Monday.

The harvest triggered the 90 percent cap for adult female sturgeon on Upriver Lakes. This means the season on Upriver Lakes closes at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday. In three days, 235 sturgeon were speared on Upriver Lakes. Nine of those fish exceeded 100 pounds.

The biggest fish harvested Monday was a 67.1-inch, 92.2-pound female taken from Lake Winnebago and registered at Stockbridge Harbor by Mandi Rahmer. A 72.2-inch, ...
