Shooting for a Cure raises leukemia awareness

Cancer takes a toll on anyone who has the disease. But when a young child is undergoing chemotherapy and endless medical appointments, coping with cancer can become overwhelming.

While Will Krause, 4, of Marshfield has leukemia, a form of cancer, his curiosity and enthusiasm for fun hasn't dimmed. Saturday he was the honorary ball boy for the University of Wisconsin-Marshfield/Wood County men's basketball team when they hosted UW-Rock County for Shooting for a Cure.

The standing-room only event raised more than $10,000 to benefit cancer research at the Marshfield Clinic. ...
