River District Theatre of Wausau stages another of its intriguing, inventive biographic dramas this Friday through Sunday at Chestnut Avenue Center for the Arts.

"Lovers & Patriots: The Love Story of John & Abigail Adams" begins at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday evening, and at 3 p.m. Sunday afternoon.

Featuring award-winning actors Lisa Burgess as Abigail and Gary Anderson as John, the piece tells one of the most moving "true love" stories in American history. It encompasses four years (1774 through 1777) in the lives of John and Abigail Adams. ...
