Meeting planned to discuss release of two sex offenders

Oshkosh Police will hold a public information meeting Wednesday to discuss the release of two registered sex offenders.

Thomas Peralta Jr., 56, and Brad L. Dain, 38, will be be moving into a residence in the 600 block of Central Street. Peralta will begin living at the residence today. Dain will move there on March 14, according to Oshkosh Police.

Peralta was convicted in 1999 of two counts of first-degree sexual assault of a child, causing a child under 13 to view or listen to sexual acts, exposing a child to harmful materials and possession of child pornography. The acts involved a 6-year-old girl and an 11-year-old boy.

Peralta is 6 feet tall and weighs 245 pounds. He has black hair, brown eyes, a 12-inch scar on the middle of his chest and a two-inch scar on the middle of his back. Peralta also has a knife and Chinese dragon tattooed on his upper left arm and Chinese writing on his upper right arm.

Dain was convicted of second-degree sexual assault in 1995 and 1997. The incidents involved a 15- and 14-year-old girl.

Dain is 5 feet, 10 inches tall and weighs 200 pounds. He has brown hair, hazel eyes and a six-inch scar in the groin area. He has a grim reaper and Chinese dragon tattooed on his upper left arm and a skull and fire demon on his chest.

Both men are lifetime registrants of the Wisconsin Sex Offender Registration Program and must comply with requirements, and cooperator with electronic monitoring.

The meeting will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday in Room 404 of Oshkosh City Hall, 215 Church Ave.
