Authorities on Monday identified the person killed in a house fire in the Town of Princeton as the owner and sole occupant of the home.

Green Lake County Deputy Coroner Bill Smith said dental X-rays were needed to determine that the victim of the fire at W3643 Judy Lane was Maureen A. Martin, 66. An autopsy determined Martin died of intensive thermal injuries and inhalation of smoke and hot gases.

Authorities were called at 4:09 a.m. Feb. 5 for a report that a woods was on fire in the area of State Highway 73 and County Trunk T. A sheriff's deputy who arrived in the area determined that the fire had originated from a home on Judy Lane, south of County Trunk T, that was fully engulfed in flames.

The fire remains under investigation by the state Fire Marshal's office.
