Tuesday's best in high school sports:

? In a benefit night for Port Edwards sophomore Jesslyn Leece who has a form of cancer, the Port Edwards and Tri-County student bodies raised just under $10,000 for her. Both the Tri-County and Port Edwards student councils were involved in helping to raise the money and put on the benefit.

? Mary Sigler scored17 points and had six rebounds and six assists as the Assumption girls basketball team downed Edgar 60-39, and along with Newman Catholic's win over Marathon, the Royals clinched the ouright Marawood Conference South Division title.

? There was also a basketball game in Port Edwards, as Nick Collar scored 14 points and Corey Parks added 11 to help the Blackhawks win 65-34 over Tri-County. Mitch Marinack had six points for the Penguins.

? Nekoosa's Owen Linzmeier scored 17 points and hit four 3-pointers in a 56-52 loss to Medford.
