In his fourth State of the Union address, President Barack Obama urged Americans to follow the example set by an Oak Creek police officer wounded in the Sikh temple shooting last August.

Near the end of his more than hourlong speech laying out his agenda for a second term, Obama said the action of Lt. Brian Murphy was the kind of selfless act that has made America great and should be replicated.
