The race for the Wisconsin Valley Conference girls basketball championship just got a little tighter.

Wausau West downed Stevens Point Area Senior High 47-41 Tuesday night at the SPASH Field House to pull into a tie for first place with the Panthers with just one game remaining on the conference schedule.

Point held a sizable lead in the first quarter, but rebounding and free throws helped West hold on. ...
