Water rates will go up in Pittsville

Pittsville residents will pay 21 percent more for water beginning in April to help finance a $1.07 million well project, according to a Wisconsin Public Service Commission order issued last week.

Residents currently paying $72.88 quarterly for 8,000 gallons of water will pay $88.02 for the same volume on bills mailed June 30, said Tami Hahn, city clerk.

The amount includes the public fire protection charge. Residents also will pay an $11.25 quarterly meter charge. ...
