Theater group stages 'Lovers & Patriots'

River District Theatre of Wausau will stage another of its intriguing, inventive biographic dramas Friday through Sunday at Chestnut Avenue Center for the Arts, 208 S. Chestnut Ave., Marshfield. "Lovers & Patriots: The Love Story of John & Abigail Adams" begins at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and at 3 p.m. Sunday.

Featuring award-winning actors Lisa Burgess as Abigail and Gary Anderson as John, the piece tells one of the most moving love stories in American history. It encompasses four years (1774 through 1777) in the lives of John and Abigail Adams.
