Orchestra to perform at library

Swanee River Oriole Orchestra will present a concert at 7 p.m. Feb. 21 at McMillan Memorial Library, 490 E. Grand Ave.

The ensemble was founded in Stevens Point in 2002 and specializes in the jazz, blues, ragtime and dance music of the early 20th century. The orchestra plays tunes made famous by artists such as Jelly Roll Morton, Louis Armstrong, King Oliver, Fats Waller, W.C. Handy, Hoagy Carmichael, Tommy Dorsey, Scott Joplin, Duke Ellington and "Kid" Ory.

This free concert is sponsored by the Mead Witter Foundation Inc.; no tickets are required. For more information, call the library at 715-422-5136.
